Big House! It's like House, but bigger!
This is our answer to 'dark roast' coffee, it's as dark as we would care to go before seeing any smoke or ash introduction. We still like a punchy flatty and this is the perfect thing for it. If you find yourself yearning for oomph and body, start here.
We started in coffee right in that transition from darker roast coffee into specialty coffee. "Third-wave" as we used to call it. While we do love filter roasted coffee, weird processes, clean water, and load of other goodies specialty has brought us; sometimes we just want a bit of nostalgia. Big House scratches that itch and is perfect for anyone who doesn't want acidity in their espresso.
ABOUT THE COFFEE:
The coffee we have chosen is a delicious washed coffee from Papua New Guinea, called 'Okalu Grade A'. Papua New Guinea has alllll the right things for amazing coffee quality and production and has been gaining a lot of traction with the coffee community. We've been roasting coffee from PNG for around 5 years and it has never let us down; so much so that we back it to have as our house coffee (or in this case, Big House). No other coffees in the house means nowhere to hide. Spooky. That just shows you how much we back it.
