Gotta admit it, it's pretty cute you want to learn more about us...

 

WHO ARE YOU?

We are Good People Nice Things, or GPNT for short. We are a small coffee roastery based in Boorloo (Perth), Western Australia. 

 

WHAT'S WITH THE NAME, WEIRDO?

We are definitely not trying to self-proclaim that we are good or that our things are nice. It's more of an angle on transparency. We find ourselves saying "it does what it says on the box" quite a lot so we figured it would be best to put something good on the box. It's a reminder, mission statement, and ethos.

We think that if you live your life trying to do nice things and find good people, it'll probably be a pretty good life. So that's what we're focusing our efforts on! And hey if you think our things are nice and that we're good, sounds like we're on the right track.

 

AND THE COFFEE? WHY PEOPLE NAMES? WHAT'S WITH THAT?

Well seeing as this is a platform to try and broadcast Good People, and also some Nice Things, we wanted to lean as heavily into that as possible. 

Each one of our limited release coffees is released either in collaboration with, or named after, a good person (or people) in our life. Sometimes those coffees are reminiscent of that person, sometimes they aren't, but all the time they make us think of a person we love and who has a positive impact on our life. Hopefully they have a positive impact on yours, too!

 

WHAT SORT OF COFFEE DO YOU LIKE?

All sorts! But primarily it needs to have character. We definitely have a penchant for natural processed coffee, but we try and keep a good mix of stuff going so that everyone is happy. All the coffee we source needs to pass the primary need of character. Is there something here that's interesting? Is it memorable?

If it's got character, we like it.

Beyond that, we love to have coffee with body, presence, and texture. Our House roast is designed from the ground up to be for maximum appeal, and all our limited release coffee tries to bring as much of the coffee out as possible. We lean into what's already in there rather than trying to force it to be a certain way.
